Valentine’s Day is a special celebration that brings people together to honor friendship and love. At Forum, the day will be filled with surprises and special benefits. To create a warm atmosphere, we will decorate the shopping center’s light court with thousands of heart-shaped foil balloons. And because the joy of love is meant to be shared, you are welcome to take a helium balloon home from the shopping center railing. To ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy them, there is one balloon per customer. We will install the heart balloons in two rounds during the day: the first will be ready at around 10:00 a.m., and the second at around 2:00 p.m.

The roots of Valentine’s Day trace back to ancient Rome’s Lupercalia festival, held on February 15. At that time, the celebration was dedicated to fertility and purification. Later, the Catholic Church introduced Saint Valentine’s Day, which became associated with celebrating love and friendship. Saint Valentine was a martyr who, according to legend, secretly married young couples in Christian ceremonies against the orders of Emperor Claudius II.
Today, Valentine’s Day is especially known as a social occasion when people show affection to their loved ones. In many countries, the date has become fixed as February 14. Internationally, the holiday is known as Valentine’s Day, while in Finland it is called “Ystävänpäivä” (Friendship Day), and it is more focused on celebrating friendship rather than romantic love.
